A new Degreed webinar will help you take your employee training sessions to the next level, leaving instructor-led courses in the past. The webinar, entitled Reinventing Learning Content for Next-Generation Learners, will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 pm EST and will include Eric VanDerSluis, Senior Director of Talent & Professional Development at Comcast, and Todd Tauber, VP of Product Marketing at Degreed, as speakers.
According to the Association for Talent Development, nearly 70% of training by employers involves a classroom-style learning atmosphere. However, there are over 1,200 sources of learning content available in dozens of formats and employees prefer bite-sized, on-demand digital options that can fit into how they actually learn on the job.
The Degreed webinar will inform participants on the three big trends in the evolution of learning content as well as why MOOcs and micro-learning are just the beginning. Additionally, the session will explain how innovative L&D leaders are changing how they use content in order to keep astride of today’s learners, who are self-directed and empowered in their professional growth.
Eric VanDerSluis who is the Senior Director of Talent and Professional Development at Comcast will be one of the two webinar presenters. Prior to joining Comcast, VanDerSluis worked at JPMorgan Chase, where one of his main responsibilities was learning and organizational development initiatives. He currently advises talent and organizational development strategies with Comcast.
The other presenter is Degreed’s own Todd Tauber, the VP of Product Marketing. Prior to Degreed, he led the enterprise learning practice at Bersin by Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting’s human capital research business. Tauber is a thought leader in the field of corporate learning and development and has been featured by Chief Learning Officer magazine, SHRM, the Association for Talent Development (ATD) as well as The Wall Street Journal.
The half-hour webinar will be recorded and available on-demand for a limited time following the live session. To register, visit http://get.degreed.com/reinventing-learning-content-webinar.
